Escuchame ("we", "our", "us") operates the Escuchame mobile application. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Account data. When you start using Escuchame, we create an anonymous guest account. No personal information is required. If you choose to save your account, we collect the email address or identity provider ID (Apple or Google) you use to sign in.

Learning data. We store your exercise results, comprehension grades, quiz answers, and vocabulary performance to personalize your learning experience and power spaced repetition.

Audio data. We generate audio exercises using text-to-speech services. We do not record your voice or access your microphone.

Device information. We may collect basic device identifiers, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and diagnostics.

How We Use Your Information

• Personalize exercises to your language level and learning progress
• Calculate spaced repetition schedules for vocabulary review
• Generate daily exercise sets tailored to your proficiency
• Process subscription purchases and manage entitlements
• Diagnose crashes and improve app performance

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google AI (Gemini) — generates exercise content based on your language and level. No personal data is sent; only language, level, and vocabulary context.
• ElevenLabs — generates spoken audio for exercises. Only exercise text is sent; no personal data.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription billing and purchase validation.
• Cloudflare — hosts our API and serves audio files.
• Neon — hosts our database infrastructure.

Data Retention

We retain your learning data for as long as your account is active. Anonymous guest accounts and their data may be deleted after 12 months of inactivity. If you link an identity to your account, your data is retained until you request deletion.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored securely in your device's Keychain. Database access is restricted and encrypted at rest.

Your Rights

You may request a copy of your data or request deletion at any time by contacting us at support@escuchame.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Escuchame is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised date.
